Training Outcomes and Competencies
- Inspection of internal/external components of power transformers and distribution transformers
- SF6 gas pressure monitoring, gas refilling, and use of gas analysis equipment
- Opening/closing timing tests for vacuum and SF6 gas circuit breakers
- Busbar insulation tests and overheating detection via thermal imaging
- Grounding grid resistance and step/touch voltage measurements
Training Curriculum and Application Modules
#01 Module 1: Switchyard Architecture and Equipment Identification
Primary and secondary equipment, surge arresters, current/voltage transformers, and Buchholz relays.
#02 Module 2: Circuit Breaker & Disconnector Mechanism Adjustments
Motorized and spring-charged mechanisms, contact resistance measurements (Micro-ohm).
#03 Module 3: Transformer Maintenance and Oil Purification Principles
Oil sampling, dielectric strength testing, silica gel replacement, and tap changer maintenance.
#04 Module 4: Preventive Maintenance & Thermographic Inspection
Analysis of looseness and overload in busbar connections using infrared thermal cameras.
